Gotta think the plan is for Knox to go 133 next year after Shawver graduates. He'd be an immediate upgrade over Smith at 125, and maybe that happens this year, but Smith isn't going 133 next year or ever.

Rutger Fight Club would be too fitting.

Speaking of Knox Sr, he is all over social media as "Dr. Cut Pro." Videos are 11/10 for laughs, if you find over-testosteroned self-serious NJ dudes entertaining.
Chill he’s not a NJ guy hes from Staten Island they only moved to NJ when Anthony was getting ready for high school

I don’t think anyone outside of that area can tell or cares about the difference.

Well there’s 1 thing that’s certain, he isn’t going to PedoStU the way their asshat fans that visit our site are going after him. Singing a totally different tune if he was.
He should've got a lady of the night and they would be all for him making excuses well he's not actually on the team blah blah

Boom? Iowa striving to match the top 10 eliteness of Rutgers!
Agreed. This “haul” from out East of theirs to me screams two Max Murins, a Kaleb Young, and a Teasdale.

i guess TnT are trying to duplicate past successes, but you would have to squint really, really hard to see a Kemmerer, and there sure as hell is no Spencer in sight.

Good luck continuing to pan for gold (fools) in the portal. To be somewhat fair, though, the pickings are very slim comparatively in these classes and once PSU and OK State reaped their bounties, best best is rolling the dice on a high upside athlete. Which TnT seem incapable of identifying.

Their Kemerer and Spencer are going to Blacksburg.

Spencer should go to Blacksburg...
Blacksburg needs another piece of the puzzle to place them closer to the front of the pack.

Hey now, VT might be kicking the Hawks to the side here real soon.

It would be funny if spencer left IC for Blacksburg after it happened.

I dunno. Most of Iowa's transfers over the last few years have worked out as one might reasonably expect:
  • Calliendo has been great for them.
  • Franek wrestled 1 year for Iowa and finished 8th at NCAA, right in line with expectations.
  • Woods had title aspirations that fell short, but finished 2nd and 3rd at NCAAs in two seasons with Iowa. Pretty good.
  • Buchanon won an NCAA title in his single season with Iowa.
  • Parco was pretty much exactly what one would expect (a mid-AA type), until he got hurt late in the season and failed to place at NCAAs. That injury was unfortunate for them.
  • Teemer was an injury waiting to happen, and it did.
  • We'll see how Bailey and Williams work out. Both are good wrestlers but probably not the high AA guys that HR wants/hopes them to be.
I'm sure there are others I'm missing. A couple guys fell short due to injuries, but most of the Iowa transfers have performed in line with reasonable expectations. It's just that some (most?) of the HR clowns expect these guys to come in and become NCAA finalists.

Woods finished 2nd and 4th. Not bad in a vacuum, but he was the deserved preseason #1 as a SR and got passed by several others.

Teske stagnated after leaving UNI. He wasn't an AA candidate anyway, but his results got worse.

Joey Cruz improved so much that they imported Peterson at his weight.

Downey and Ferrari met reasonable expectations of not getting thru Admissions.
