Planning on tent camping at Wheeler State Park. Is that a good choice or are there better places in the area? We're planning to camp, enjoy the water, fish, kayak, golf, hang out, and hit some of the big music festival events in the area. Thanks.
beautiful area. Go later in the fall when its not so hot, the leaves are channgin and there's plenty of water in the streams; truly an amazing place. Tons of waterfalls, shelters, perfect camping spots. You can actually do some "car" camping near the head of Borden Trail I believe and make easy day-hikes in.
