Well it's early and with the brutal weather in the Carolinas in the preseason , Wake is like most teams around the area that they have lost a lot of practice time outside due to cold , snow and Ice .

South Carolina leaves two in scoring position to end the third against Northern Kentucky. Game tied at zero. SCAR was horrible last year. 6-24 in the SEC. Not sure if they’ll be much better this year.

Nk has left the bases loaded twice too. Scar is lucky to not be losing right now

Looking at Wake’s box score and Andrew (not older brother Luke) Costello got the start today. He enrolled a year early and should have been a senior in high school THIS season. He had 1 of their 2 RBIs. Serrano (INF) at State as well as Rich (RHP) for us also bypassed their last prep season. Will be interesting to see how all their seasons play out.

Hate to nitpick, but why does Winslow give a half *** target on the pitches?
I’m not trying to be an *** when I say this, but as a pitcher you’re not pitching to the glove. You’re pitch to a certain spot whether it’s the outside foot or knee of the catcher or is the inner hip of the hitter. It’s a single spot and 99% of the time it ain’t he glove.

Agree with Colby. The higher the level the less applicable the concept of “the mitt as the target” becomes. Watch the big league catchers when you get a chance.

I’m sure it’s that way, but having that mitt as a target sure helps with throwing to a spot. A vague knee or foot just not defined enough. Old school I know but some kids might need a good target. Nothing more irritating than a college kid that can’t throw strikes. Good win.

TCU and Arkansas drew over 20k at the Rangers stadium. Sport continues to grow, too bad a lot of these early season events are hard to watch.

They scored 25 and 31 in a doubleheader. 56 runs in a day is insane
The two teams combined to score 94 runs in three games.

I wonder if there was a lot of wind blowing there this weekend, because the two teams combined for 9 HR and 60 BB.

Wagner also had 9 errors. Must have been hard to watch

Chris Pollard coached teams do this every year early in the season. Although, this is probably the most talented lineup he’s ever had.
