Do we know for sure they won’t do two teams from the same conference in a regional now that they’re seeding 1-32?
The following pods will draw one of the teams from the other pods just below. The only stipulation is that if a team from the same conference is one of the teams in the 17-32 pods, the Top 16 national seed would not be able to draw them in their regional.

I guess this would be impossible to avoid if the SEC had 3 teams between 5 & 8 and 2 of the teams in the 25-38 bucket. My guess is they would just fudge some seedings a line or two to avoid it.

If Carolina wins the ACCT, we're locked in to a top 3 national seed, right?

If we lose today or tomorrow, here is how I see it:
-Definitely above UNC:
1. UCLA (#1, RPI 1)
-Above UNC if they win out:
2. GT (#3, RPI 2)
3. SEC winner if one of Auburn (#6, RPI 3) or Georgia (#4, 11)

I could see the loser of a Georgia/Auburn SEC final also passing a non-ACC champ Carolina for the 4 seed since, SEC.

By the numbers I have a hard time seeing anyone else climb above Carolina, but is there someone I'm underestimating out of the teams below?
-#5, RPI 5 Texas (lost in SEC quarters)
-#7, RPI 18 Oregon St
-#8, RPI 12 Southern Miss
#9, RPI 15 WVU
#10, RPI 14 Texas A&M (lost in SEC quarters)
#11, RPI 7 FSU (lost in ACC quarters)
#12, RPI 21 Arkansas - could they get there if they take out Georgia and Auburn this weekend?

I think we will be ahead of everyone other than UCLA, GT, UGA.

But I think Texas and Auburn are at least teams to monitor. Especially Texas.

Texas lost fairly easily to Arkansas yesterday and is done. I expect them to be 5/6. Auburn probably only team that could pass us. Florida is making a strong run too for top 8

Florida will likely be top 8, they will be ahead of FSU as they beat them 3 times.

UCLA feels a lot like our 2013 team. Dominant #1 early finding ways to pull out miracle after miracle down the stretch. Would be nice to flip the results of that season.
Having to face Carlos Rodon in Omaha for a 3rd time that season really is what was the killshot for that team. Game 2 & 3 we still had good juice left. And still had a fantastic chance in that Friday night game vs UCLA

Yes, but also Emmanuel was never really the same after we brought him back on 1-day rest against FAU (though he kept us in it in that UCLA game), and we weren't going to win anything without him at his best.

Auburn loses, which I think should clinch a top-4 seed for us unless some shadiness happens where they don’t want all SEC teams seeded 5-8 because there’s one in the 25-28 bucket.

We were #1 in the country after winning the ACC tourney and got a five seed. Was our RPI that bad or did we get screwed?

I think win today and probably the 2 national seed? A loss no worse than 4 ? But if UGA wins the SEC regular season and tournament and UCLA stumbles I can see them getting the top seed.

Logically we should either be the 2 or 4 depending on today's game. But I wouldn't trust seeding committees any further than I could throw them.

If we win today we’d be a combined 3-1 against GT, the head to head should and I think will matter. But, also wouldn’t be surprised either way

I don’t think the H2H (especially with 3 being on our home field) overweights a 21 to 13 Q1 advantage and them having a better ACC record by 2 games.
