Our society is crumbling. I worry for my kids futures constantly.

I am thankful for the bit of joy Saturday night, but life as we know it is over. We've passed the point of no return. Charlie Kirk. That poor girl in Charlotte. Constant depravity everywhere you turn.

I don't know how anyone gets through their day without Christ and a church family. Its Christ or Chaos right now.

I'll admit I've had trouble going to sleep at night wondering what kind of world my kids will be living in when I'm not here any more.

All from one side.
What a crock of ѕhit. In the last few months, we've seen school shootings by far right Neo-Nazis, Democratic legislators in Minnesota get shot, and years later conservatives still making jokes about the time someone tried to murder Nancy Pelosi's husband.

The entire country is sick. There's no high ground on any side.

I'm done. I really can't enjoy life anymore. Its constant worry.
I have felt that way for a long time... Ever since I was told I evidently don't care about what's happening, since I don't wholly agree with them.

ETA- no, I am not talking about this forum. I'm talking about real life.

It’s not the end. People said the same stuff during Vietnam. We had an era in our history where we owned other people. There was a time when you couldn’t own land or go in a public building because of the color of your skin. Women couldn’t vote once upon a time. There is a lot of F’d up **** going on right now. The biggest problem is that we have justified hating each other based on differing political views. It has become the new religion. When some nut job does something, it is dangerous to associate everyone who thinks differently than you with that person. Goes for both sides. We have to stop hating people that we don’t even know.

You are correct. It's not ALL on one side. I'd say it's 80/20 with the left doing the violence.

I guess I just don’t see what makes it more tragic when it is famous. There are over 20,000 people a year that are murdered, significantly less than in 1992. It’s not any less tragic when a mother or father in Huntsville Alabama is senslessly murdered that no one hears about. These recent acts are terrible, heinous, cowardly and absolutely unacceptable, but it doesn’t change my day to day. Statistically I am less likely to be murdered now than 15 years ago, and significantly less likely than 30 years ago. I just feel like the world is overall a safer place, it’s the internet and 24/365 coverage that makes it seem scarier.
