These two squads have met in the post season the last six years:

'08- 38-0 BV
'09- 21-13 NS
'10- 12-10 BV
'11- 21-7 BV
'12- 29-7 BV
'13- 55-14 NS

Interestingly both times NS beat BV they went on to win it all. On the other hand, BV took the crown twice as well ('11&'12) after beating NS. I really thought Liberty would take them out this year, but should have known they'd find a way for yet another match-up with the north Roanoke County boys. On paper, NS and BV seem fairly even. Both have some speed and shiftiness out of the backfield. I want to give an edge to NS in the trenches and defensively, but honestly haven't read about or seen enough of BV this year for a good evaluation. Wikki, if you read this (since you've seen both teams) what say you? For that matter, anyone who has seen both, how do you see this game playing out? I'm expecting a close game either way.

I have picked against Brookville twice this year when they played Liberty and missed it. I did pick Amherst against Brookville because I really believed they had a good chance and Amherst won. It is hard to tell because Northside played Amherst in the beginning of the season. Amherst really improved near the end of the season. It seems that the Brookville's coach had them ready for the Liberty game after the loss to Amherst. But if I have to pick I will go with Northside because they are playing at home. But I would not be surprised if Brookville wins. Isn't the Northside's QB injured?

Northside but it'll be closer than last year

Should be a good physical game just like the last 6 meetings. Once you made that comment about NS-Bville being tied at the belt loop, I knew Liberty was going to lose. History tells us the winner of this game has a high probability to win the whole thing. If Northside can contain Myers, they should win by a couple scores. Brookville will be as big and physical as anybody NS has played, outside of Salem. Will be a good match for both teams in the trenches. I like the skill guys at NS more than Bville so I'll take the Vikings.

Northside 24 Brookville 14.

Re: Northside but it'll be closer than last year

I think I'm the one that jinxed us both with the belt loop comment.
I picked because Liberty in the Pickem because it appeared that Brookville was headed in the wrong direction at the end of the season but I had in the back of my head that we ALWAYS play Brookville in the playoffs.
This week I am wondering if we are tied to the belt loops with Coach Woody also?Lol.
I agree that NS vs Brookville should be closer than last years game.

I think it will come down to the trenches. At this point whoever controls the line of scrimmage will win the game. Should be a great game though if anything. Even more so, whoever wins this game will have the Monticello-Magna Vista winner which should make for an even better game. Don't you just love highschool football playoffs in VA?

If Northside can't pass the ball it's know way they are going to beat Brookville .I haven't seen Northside play so I can't tell you if they can or not. With the back up QB Brookville is going to load the box and force Northside to pass.Teams that beat Brookville this year was succesville threw the air not on the ground.
