Is that Jabari Blake? He'll be a Jr this fall.Did anyone hear that NS QB transferred to Heritage
Not sure I was told that tonight while I was having dinner. Was he a good QBIs that Jabari Blake? He'll be a Jr this fall.
He's a dual threat QB, started some last year as a Sophomore. He has good potential, but needs to work on decision making at times. I remember thinking that when I saw him the last 3 years. He threw 2 pick 6's against Salem on 2 consecutive plays in JV.Not sure I was told that tonight while I was having dinner. Was he a good QB
The kid was on his way to a good sophomore season until an injury interrupted his season. Not sure I was told that tonight while I was having dinner. Was he a good QB
Yes. He has been enrolled and participating in 7 on 7 since April.Did anyone hear that NS QB transferred to Heritage
Anderson has been getting most of the first team reps in 7 on 7. IMO, Anderson is the more polished passer and a slightly better athlete. With that being said, Anderson will probably be the starter barring an injury. So who will get the start do you think?
Blake could probably be used at WR this year with his height and be the QB next year?Anderson has been getting most of the first team reps in 7 on 7. I think that's a fair assessment. Especially since Heritage lost top receiver Caleb Snead to graduation.Blake could probably be used at WR this year with his height and be the QB next year?
Wow! That's a bold prediction! I'm not going to dispute it but I will say this, they have their starting QB back but only receivers with limited experience and size. They still will have a great running game if LaLa Davis stays healthy. However, the defense lost a lot of people from last year including coordinator Burt Torrence.Good to see Heritage have depth at Qb this coming year. It was unfortunate that the starter went down with an injury last season. I believe that they would have beaten Blacksburg last year if they would've had their QB. They had a D1 wide receiver on their team, but no one could get the ball to him. They made it as far as they could with a good defense and a great running game. With their starter back, I see Heritage making a run to the 3A state championship (This is the 4A board I know). They have been working hard and will be Dangerous!

Word is though, there's a small possibility that Torrence might be cleared of any allegations and return to coach the defense. I personally highly doubt that he returns even if he is cleared of allegations.
Word out of Heritage camp is the Qb race will be tight maybe up until the 1st game of the season, especially if the transfer continues to learn the offense. Living only a few blocks from city stadium I have seen all of the 7 on 7's this spring. Anderson is the better athlete, the transfer has the SIZE and arm talent. I have family that lives in Richmond(Hermitage HS), Heritage was in the 7 on 7 tournament there a few weeks ago. Heritage faired well amongst the 5a and 6a schools there. I heard the transfer looked really good up there. Coache Bradley is in a good situation right now. Th is is a battlle that I am gonna continue to keep my eye on. Either way Heritage should make some noise this year.Anderson has been getting most of the first team reps in 7 on 7. IMO, Anderson is the more polished passer and a slightly better athlete.
