If someone's family moved, say 10 miles or 100 miles, to a new town and they happen to have a potentially significant athlete, is that considered a "portal transfer"?

Should the new school system allow that student to attend class? To participate in school activities?

There is a portal in highschool football now? Wow times have changed. Play for your hometown school, zero loyalty these days. In my day, late 70s, you couldn't pay me to play for a rival or crosstown school.

How do you prove that it's a legal or illegal move or whatever is the case? You are correct there's really nothing you can do to stop it!!

Yeah I agree!! You are correct the State Board would have to get involved if that's the direction this state decides to go!! I believe Alabama is trying to do the same with it's High School athletics but not 100 percent sure on that!!!

I have no idea. I had just heard a west stokes player was interested in grimsley.

The high school sports scene in NC is wilder than a cornfield at a county fair! The whole 'portal transfer' thing? It's got more drama than a soap opera at an NC State game! Back in the day, players were like 'Born and raised in my hometown, baby!' Swapping schools was a HUGE deal, like trading in your grandma's secret recipe for brats—loyalty was the name of the game, folks! Community pride runneth deep, just like Carolinians love for chili on spaghetti!

He is listed at Grimsley on Hudl. Having the #1 rated QB in the nation should get lot of recognition and more offers. The competition level quite bit higher than playing at West Stokes.
