With Danny Kanell sharing these thoughts, I find myself possibly for the first time siding with the NIL/portal crowd.

Again, what's happening is not NIL. Its rouge pay for play mercenary hiring without contracts, collective bargaining, etc. NIL is getting paid proceeds from jersey sales, autographs, advertisements, etc. I wish schools would quit calling these fundings "NIL deals" because 90% of it or more isn't NIL. It's just throwing money at players, it's stupid, and it's going to pop at some point. When that is I do not know.
