He did not go there to recruit for us, but he is at least working for us a little with Conner.

I was worried about Jones visiting, but it is starting to show where his heart is. Is huge that he is working on Conner.

Recruits put on jerseys and helmets at every single official visit. doesn't mean anything..... well..... it shouldn't. Obviously it means the world is ending to some of our fans.

That's standard stuff for official visits. If I were in Jones' position, no matter how solid I was to another school, I'd feel pretty awkward saying "Nah, I'm good" when everyone else in the group is trying on the uniforms.

I thought about that too. Would anyone do that?

I still think Jones will end up at State, but I hope he enjoys the attention and flattery at Ole Miss. It'd be great if Conner came to State, but I don't expect that and this weekend really just solidified my appreciation for the guys who have committed to MSU and honored those commitments. It's a pretty low drama group of good athletes.

I'm not saying sour grapes about the talent going to Ole Miss. I admit I'd love if State had some of them. But I like the kind of workhorse kids we seem to attract lately.
