Not even mediocrity

While doing some handicapping research, I did a little math I thought I would share. Mississippi has lost 8 of it's last 10 games dating back to last year. The only 2 wins were the Southern Illinois game a couple of weeks back when they were actually out-gained by over 100 yards but had less turnovers than the Salukis. The other win was last year vs Louisiana Lafayette. It should be noted, ULL fired their coach..probably because he lost to Mississippi (I still like the Jackie Wayne reference).

Anyway, the math....in those 8 losses, Mississippi has been beaten by an average score of 35.25 to 19.75. They are losing their games by OVER 2 TD's! They aren't even competitive with the rest of the BCS. I hate to give him credit but I'm starting to think Mutt is on to something and UM should be playing in a lower division.

Again, we know they have been bad, but when you look at the numbers it just seems even worse. </p>
