Hello,

Thank you for reaching out!

On3 does not currently support notifications when users you follow post in forums. Alerts are focused on team-based or national breaking content, not individual follower activity. You can manage push notifications via the On3 app for these types of alerts

Full details are available on the On3 website. Here’s the link for your reference: https://www.on3.com/apps/on3/

Thanks,
On3 Support”

Other than the known issues with dark mode in the app this is the biggest negative for me so far. What's the point of following if we don't get notifications?

Was going to write about this later but the following function isn’t the greatest part about this forum, as vastly superior as it is to what we used to have.

Following people pushes their content to your “News feed.” If you click your profile in the top right (or left) (or forums in the app) you should see “News feed.” That will show you everything that a poster you are following does. But, it doesn’t give great context nor does it alert you.

It is possible to custom build these functions but it remains to be seen if Shannon Terry will put the resources towards it.

What exactly is superior for the subscriber? It’s much more difficult to navigate, the coloring isn’t great, I’m using extra large font and it’s still too dull and not sharp enough, dark mode isn’t any better. It’s hard to know if someone replied to one of your messages, you can’t easily find the posts from staff in a thread…you have to scroll and scroll plus a staff member doesn’t stand out very well so sometimes I scroll right past. I don’t doubt ON3 will get better but I’m struggling to understand how the experience is better today for the subscriber as compared to other places.

Improving the following notification is in our pinned request list
Gotta say, I would’ve thought “simple” things like this would have been figured out before the switch. I’m unimpressed with On3’s message boards so far.

following posters and getting notifications when and where they posted is great. Following the staff’s posts is one of the best ways to stay informed.
