we never had a chance despite what all the "experts" on this board are saying. Alabama is by far the superior team. Would it have been more interesting if Bonner had returned the int for a td? Yep. Would it have been better to have hit the fgs? Yep. Could we have gotten a couple more calls to go our way? Yep. Would it have been nice for Carmon not to get 3 illegal procedure penalties Yep. Would it have been good not to get a personal foul for a late hit out of bounds? Yep. Would it have been smart for Banks not to get the pass interference call? Yep. Would it have been more fun for our punter not to drop the ball? Yep. Did any of this really and truly matter? Nope.<div>

I don't know of anyone who thought pre-season we would win this game. The drop in expectations for the season is a result of losing games we thought we might win, but this wasn't one of them. A few people think we will win next week, but not many, and most expect us to crush the Bears in the Egg Bowl.

The realization will hit you like a ton of bricks soon. Thankfully, Dan may be able to change the status of our program soon.

down 10 with a whole qtr to play would keep us close enough to have a chance. My expectations have dropped as well. You don't have to look back to too many of my posts to know that. The point I am trying to make is that we were in this game until that moment. Even the announcers said it. The defense played to well up to that point to go that route. We never had a chance after that.
