First of all, that is not a lackluster roster.
Aidoo was 1st team all-SEC center.
Nellie Davis was AAC POY and the #1 player in the Portal.
DJ Wagner, well you know his credentials.
Thiero has grown into the monster player UK fans knew he could be if given the chance to play.
Knox is a McDonald's AA 5 star future first round draft pick.
Boogie, First rounder. ( I know, I know).
Brazile is a nightmare matchup for us and most teams that do not have a tall athletic 4 that can guard in space.
Oh, and Z. Can you see Williams hustling to the 3 point line to cover Z on that step back 3??
The only thing holding that team back is the maestro. Just hope he doesn't come to his senses before Saturday.
This Arkansas team has as much talent as almost any team in the SEC not named Alabama, Auburn, or TN.

The best thing I could do is just drop college sports from my hobby list as it is a disaster right now. Maybe it is a slow way of letting go. I don't ever see UK being what I remember growing up. Fair enough. If you aren't enjoying Pope's first season, I'd 100% stop watching and find other use of your time. Anybody that thought this team woluld be 16-3 or 17-2 right now is living in a different world.

Honestly 9-9 in conference play would be ok with me. Considering how brutal this conference is. And that this should be Popes least talented team while he’s here at Kentucky, that would still make us a tournament team. Then who knows, if we’re healthy we could win a couple games in the tournament
I read through the part where Arkansas was going to D us up and that was it. Ok, say they do. What are they going to do when Pope throws multiple zone looks at them? Yep, fold like a cheap suit. Grow a pair and stop bringing the testosterone in the room down.
Vanderbilt is also a patchwork team. There are patchwork teams all over college basketball now. I still think we have the talent to compete with anyone. We just have to address our weak points and continue to improve.
It’s almost like the world changes as we age. We have two options: We can adapt and evolve or we can get left in the dust while pining for a yesterday that’s long gone.
The 2022-2023 UConn Huskies went 14-8 in the Big East and BE tournament with only 7 of the 22 games being against ranked teams before going on a hot streak to win the NCAA tournament. We have already played 4 ranked SEC teams and have 6 games against currently ranked teams ahead of us plus any ranked teams we may face in the SEC tournament. That also doesn't include Vandy who will likely be ranked this week. My point is we still have time to get the ship righted and if matchups fall right we can go on a run to get as far in the tournament as most of us would be happy with.

Do I ever not say it’s stupid though? A couple on here are really easy to bait man. But the ones who say I’m not a Kentucky fan are idiots. I want them to win so damn much. I will always taking looking like a idiot if it means the cats win

I mean, in the 80’s and 90’s, and even later, I could work up a worry like no one’s business. I wanted to fix Delk’s shot, wished we had real depth in ‘96, and (more recently) thought Anthony Davis just wasn’t really tall enough.
Frankly, I still have serious doubts we will win titles in ‘96 and ‘98 . . . they’re bound to find a way to beat those teams!
