Had you pitched it to Dixon on the goal line vs GT, Dixon scores easily and no need for Dixon up the middle play where he fumbles going in.
People, I think Mr. Lee is jonesin for a little "me time" on the jumbotron.

the play against GT was third and 2, if i remember correctly. he had enough room to get the sure first down, and that's exactly what he did. yes, dixon probably scores if he pitches the ball. but on third and short, you want to be sure of the first down.

It was the "read" option. Lee had the OPTION to hand the ball off inside to Dixon or keep it himself. If you remember, Lee kept it b/c the DE was crashing in on Dixon (Dixon said it was one of the hardest hits he's ever taken). Point is...Lee made the right decision on the play against Vandy.
