<font face="georgia, palatino" size="2">I would like to point out two things. Most importantly, CROOM, WHY ARE YOU COACHING THE FIRST STRING OFFENSE ON HOW TO RUN THE TRIPLE OPTION? THEY DO NOT NEED TO BE WASTING THEIR TIME ON THAT!!!!! And Elliott is the deuce?

</font></p>

<font face="georgia, palatino" size="2">• Croom said his defense worked one period per day on Georgia Tech's triple option for designated times during preseason camp. He's especially concerned that his scout team will give his defense an adequate look at the offense. <span style="font-weight: bold;">He'll spend extra time coaching his first string offense on how to run the system so that it can give the first defense a good look at it, too.</span> Croom said he and his staff talked to some coaches who have gone up against it before to learn how to defend it.</font></p>

<font face="georgia, palatino" size="2">• More on Carroll: "There were some things that caused some of the (bad) throws, and that's what fans don't see," Croom said. "It's hard to complete a pass and you're trying to follow through and somebody's in your face. You'll get your hand broke. And it causes you to take steps that you normally wouldn't take. You can't take your normal steps and follow through. A block was missed, something like that, somebody's in your face, then we don't count that as the quarterback's fault. But I thought he reacted very well and he's handled the obvious criticism that goes with playing quarterback when you don't win. He's handled it well and i think he just lets that roll right off his back."</font></p>

<font face="georgia, palatino" size="2">• On RB Robert Elliott: "Elliott will play a lot this week. He's going to play a lot more this week than he's been playing. We're going to find out. We're going to cut the deuce loose."</font></p>

I particularly enjoyed the quote about not worrying about the opponents defense....we're just going to line up and do what we do on offense.

Great!!! Let's not exploit any weakness they may have on D, let's just do "our" thing.

Hey coach did you notice they had a true freshman in at right cornerback?
Yeah, we knew that be we wanted to run it up the middle.

Did you know he had severly sprained ankle and was struggling just to stand up?
Yeah, but we wanted to run up the middle.</p>

<span class="post-title">so Robert Elliott didn't know enough to play against LaTech, but he can against Georgia Tech?**</span>
After reviewing the game tape, Croom decided that since no one else is blocking for the quarterback, it would be unfair to bench a running back for not doing so.

How badly does it speak of Bonner that Elliott, Ducre(if healthy enough) and Stallworth will get the bulk of the work? Move him to corner, he can't be any worse than what we put on the field now.

hell to do. First, he takes sophomore Carroll to the SEC media days with the message: "Wes is our leader." Next, he talks about a two QB system. Next he goes back to Carroll. Now he says we "may play SOME of the other QB's...and this man is getting 1.7$ million It's becoming obvious that he doesn't have a clue ..he doesn't have a handle on things...he doesn't have a plan. There's no telling where this thing is going to end up this year, much less next year, unless he agrees to a buyout, and admits that he's had enough of it.

And it's getting to him. He doesn't believe in himself, so how in the hell is anyone else supposed to? I swear, everything I've bitched about, I hear him making excuses of why he doesn't do it, or he tried it but after a couple of plays it didn't work so he went back to what he knows. I hear that alot. "We're going to do what we know." What in the hell is that exactly? Defensive points? I could have sworn he was an offensive coach. Well, I guess he is because this crap is just offensive!

You have your starter back at QB
Starter goes to Media Days
Starter gets pulled in Game 1 for back-up, back-up on field with game on the line
Coach then says its Starters job again, and only his in week 2
Coach then comes back 2 weeks later and says he is going to use multiple QB's.

He doesnt have a clue and is in way over his head

is he doesn't know what he is doing and just says whatever sounds good except for one thing. That one thing is trying a different approach on offense.

doesn't have a 17-ing clue what he's doing. It's something I figured out 2 years ago, which is one reason I never put too much stock in the 8-win season last year. I knew we won 8 in spite of Croom and not because of him.
