South Florida's Nate Allen drew the attention of a Ravens scout on Monday. So did Mississippi State running back Anthony Dixon who ran for 1,391 yards this season--the best total in the SEC.

A Jacksonville Jaguars scout spent some time talking with LB Jamar Chaney after the South Team practice on Monday. The Mississippi State defender posted 286 tackles, 21 tackles for loss, 6 sacks and ten quarterback hurries during his collegiate career, including three seasons as a starter.

Mississippi State LB Jamar Chaney showed good coverage skills working against a RB whose double move didn't fool Chaney...

Glad to hear the boys are doing well.

Meanwhile saw a story on Yahoo's front page that Tebow did not look good at all in the early practices

he is not going to cut it at QB, but you would think there is a place on the football field for him.

I have a couple of friends that drove over to Fairhope yesterday afternoon to watch the South team practice. Both said that Tebow had the slowest release in the 3 step drop drill and that in the 7-on-7 drills after his first 2 downfield passes were junk that he dumped of to the running back on almost every pass after that. Brown the QB from WVa looked really good and had a quick release.

Both are huge Bama homers so they weren't suprised at the number of people at the practice (2K-3K), but they both were suprised that half of them were FL fans. Also of note is that Tebow walked past the waiting autograph/shake your handline without saying a word, walked directly to the bus, and sat there for 15-20 minutes until they left.

Both also said that Dixon looked damn strong.</p>
