1. Park is more compact than trustmark or the new dude. But that was a fun atmosphere
2. Much like trustmark with the gov cup, it cannot handle that kind of crowd. Eat before you go.
3. Parked in the beau parking garage. Getting in and out was a breeze even with the crowd. However there is a lot of up and down to use the skywalk over 90. Its really poorly designed (they may not have had other options).
4. radar gun at the stadium is probably 3-4 mph slow
5. Great win. Gonna look great on the nitty gritty. And is Harding our new Neff?

And cumbest has had the biggest “thats baseball” at bats recently. Hammers a ball off the pitcher last weekend for an out. Hammers two balls tonight that are caught. Bloops a single off the end of his bat

A solid night from both Cumbest and Pimental. Hopefully a sign that Pimental can get it turned around. We had several loud outs. Really impressed with Harding tonight.

Some really questionable decisions by Lemonis I thought. What’s with all the attempts at small ball tonight? And why let our guy throw another pitch after walking two straight in a big spot in the game?

Lastly, was the home plate ump as bad as it seemed from where I was sitting?

I was thinking it their gun must have been slow. That said, the 2nd tech pitcher was hitting 92/93 on it.

I really enjoyed watching the Dawgs tonight at MGM. It ain't Dudy Noble, but what is? It is a nice park. Stands make you feel close to the action. A standing room only crowd. We pitched well(except for Dunleavy who couldn't throw strikes and was determined to throw all off speed stuff), had some really good at bats against some decent pitching, and got the win. I really enjoyed it.

Really, Dunleavy should not have been used tonight after multiple innings on Sunday. Seemed like Lemonis fell in love with him after Sunday.

We hit some balls really well in addition to our hits that were right at folks or that they made good plays on. I’m encouraged by that and hope it means we are seeing the ball better going forward.

If you happen to make it back tonight, can you kindly snag one of their nice high dollar HD cameras that they use for showing occasional snapshots of the dugout and move it over to centerfield for them?

The CF camera looked like they were filming a tv screen above a concession stand.

I thought the Shuckers’ announcers did a good job with the broadcast last night. Very professional.

Harding shutting down one of the 4-5 best offenses in the country is a pretty strong statement that he deserves to be a weekend starter. He could be the guy that pops and makes State every bit the contender they thought they’d be going into the year with Ginn.

I’ve been telling you all for two weeks that the bats will come along. There’s too much proven talent in that lineup for them not to.

Yeah, I would say Cerantola’s claim on the Sunday starting spot is in jeopardy if he doesn’t start showing some consistency soon. Harding was really dang impressive last night.

This pitching staff has been a huge surprise this year, and it could be one of the best staffs in the country next year considering most of these guys should be back. Very happy to see a guy like Spencer Price pitching well again, Cannizaro almost ruined his career.

Completely agree. It’s early, but any State fan would have to admit that pitching has wildly exceeded expectations. It all starts with McLeoud looking absolutely elite, but there are easily another 5-6 guys that are showing us an ability to be dear dang near unhittable for at least a few innings. We’ll see if this carries over into SEC play, but we have a lot of guys that have looked really good, and it’s not like we’ve played a bunch of scrub teams

On the hitting side of things, last night was a pleasant surprise, but I’ll reserve judgment until after this week is over. Logic would say that it just has to turn around soon, and hopefully yesterday was the start of it. One thing I will say is that thought of this lineup next season without Westberg and Foscue makes me queasy

Funny how a month ago we all thought hitting would be fine and pitching would be a question mark. But so far, it's been the opposite.

How did Cannizaro almost ruin Price?

I haven’t watched State play any, yet. But I’ve seen some clips of MacLeod’s curveball and it is filthy. It’s an upper echelon MLB curve already.

I think State and Ole Miss are both capable of having great seasons this year. But I also think they will both have a Top 5 rotation, nationally, next year. Both schools have a lot of really talented freshman and sophomore arms.

He almost ruined self more than price but they were literally all we had to pitch in 2017. They pitched way more then they should have and were overused.
Yeah that's not true. Price had 34 appearances and 34.0 IP. Self had 21 and 48.1. Holder had 34 and 54.2 in 2013. Did Cohen almost ruin him?

I'd say the FAR more likely culprits of injuries would be too much throwing overall for Price (he grew up in Desoto County, where travel ball is a religion) and a bad mechanics for Self.

If there's one thing Cannizaro did well it was the X/O coaching of baseball. And recruiting.

Yeah, the gun was off. I looked at that guys bio while he was pitching and it said he hit 100 multiple times last year.
