If you think the private market would replace the 35-45 percent of funding that would go away in your world then you have no grasp of how most people like to spend their money.

Might not replace it all and probably doesn’t have to since a lot of it is BS anyways.

You’d definitely get some of it replaced.

People were hired to oversee these grants. We came in and fired a bunch of them, now we are surprised when stuff doesn’t go right?

Either way, we have a vehicle to slowly change this process, that also was built slowly over time. It’s called Congress and it prevents knee jerk reactions and decisions.

Mississippi fired a bunch of people that are related to this specific case? I bet you can't provide a source for that.
