Now that the FBI has made rounds interviewing people, it's interesting that the silence is deafening, which is exactly what happens once the feds start talking to people. No more running off at the mouth, no more radio/tv interviews, nothing.

This story is far from over, it just takes time, and a lot of it, for the system to work. As a friend once told me, the wheels of justice move very slowly, however, if you are under them, they will crush you.

the FBI told the NCAA not to interfer with the investigation and they are waiting on the FBI to finish. Think about this. The Newton situation is very similar to the Bush case. It took the NCAA three years to make a ruling. There is more to this story and a lot more to come out. I think once some charges are issue either by the FBI or even the State of Mississippi, these guy will break and someone will drop names. Really who wants to go to jail for Auburn.

Arnie Spanier had some nationally syndicated columnist on the air. The guest was ripping Cam Newton apart.

"He was going to Mississippi State, he wanted to go to Mississippi State, they asked for money, Mississippi State said no, so he went to Auburn".

Spanier kept saying "but what if he's innocent"

The guy kept saying "He's not" and "HE did not get my Heisman vote"

I wish I could remember the guys name

Just so er'body knows - There is not going to be any information sharing from the FBI to the NCAA. That would violate federal law.

And I think that sucks. If the FBI could spill it to the NCAA, this thing would be over.

... is getting convictions for bribery, corruption and influence peddling among Alabama legislators and lobbiest. This is why they had wiretaps in the first place, any info regarding Cam et al fell into their laps as a result of this investigation. They don't want to do anything to jeapordize their original case. However, if as a result of the Cam affair they can find a way to bring any additional charges against the involved parties they sure as hell will which could also explain the silence. They're going to find the weak link(s) in the chain and bring all the heat they canto get them to roll over on the rest of them. THEN the **** will truly hit the fan.

If an indictment is not sealed, anyone can go down to the Federal court house and read the indictment. WhichI imagine, if this involves bribes to State officials, famous individuals, and etc. It will most certainly be sealed. But anyway, the indictment will not contain everything the FBI has discovered during their investigation. Only the information that supports each count charged. Which they may not charged the defendant with anything relating to the pay to play deal. So, you may never know what they learned. Or like you suggest, if there is a trial, anyone can go sit in the gallery and listen to the USA present it's evidence. But again, if the paymentto Newton is not relavent to the case, even though the FBIstumbled upon it in their investigation, it will notbe brought out in open court. Also, the FBI and any other Federal LEO agency, does not release all their investigative information to the public regardless. Now, Some FBI agent may be friends or have a contact with the NCAA and UNOFFICIALLY say look here, here, and here but theycan not hand over case files.

All that to say,the NCAA is going to have to build their own case. </p>

Also remember in the Scruggs wire taps it was uncovered how a drunk driving murder was covered up. It was bragged on the wire about chaning urine samples or altering them. It had nothing to do with Scruggs. A friend of the person thatwas killed actually read the wire taps and turned it in. The boy pleaded and went straight to jail. You know damn well that the NCAA will read these wire taps word by word once they are released. If not there will be plenty others finding things from other conferences to make the SEC look bad.
