Noticed during Emory Bellard's Tenure, MSU pretty much owned the Corndogs

We beat them all 4 years I was at MSU. I had a press pass for the game my last year. I took a bunch of photos but they were lost in several moves over the years. That was the Orlando Lundie game. We stunk and they were undefeated. They couldn't catch butter!

I was set up right in front of the LSU section for most of the game with 3 or 4 other students with cameras. The LSU fans pelted us with sugar cubes most of the game (they were headed to the Sugar Bowl) When we had it won we turned around and let them have it. They responded with BAGS of sugar and sugar cubes. Fun times.

nope..........

Jerry Stovall and Bill Arnsparger. They had good teams and we denied them the SEC title in 82 and 84.

Until Saban got to LSU they were living in the past just like Ole Miss. Good back in the day but was wondering aimestly in the woods. Saban changed that.

I was hit with a whiskey bottle at that game.....

Back then, the student section was behind part of the LSU bench. I was on the front row. Spent part of the time in a bird-flipping contest with #75 for them. At the end of the game, when Artie Cosby hit the game-winner (didn't know how much time was left, the clock broke), I was jumping up and down when something hard hit my hand. Looked down and it was a small whiskey bottle. Left a bruise but didn't break anything.

A bit of trivia: John Bond was maybe the only QB in history of State to beat the corndogs four years in a row...maybe history of the SEC but not sure about that.

NO, you wouldn't be.

I just took it as if he somewhere along the line switched allegiances bc State sucked and LSU was good.

I attended this game too. Lundie ran all over them. I almost got my *** kicked that day. I was fed up with all the smack, the sugar cube crap, and other stuff typical of an lsu fan. Walking around after the game, I told a few of them to get off the campus...among other things. Clint Eastwood stole my stuff...

Am I the only one surprised that "in the head"

wasn't part of this post? That would have explained a lot.
