GRCC supposedly ranked 17 in Michigan. I wish I could go but can’t.
Good test going into the meat of the schedule. This is probably the toughest schedule NDCP has faced in years. They could really use a win here. It’s tough to look at the schedule and see 4 more wins. Big game for the Don’s.
This team got a taste last year and hopefully want more this year. This is a talented group with more speed than ND teams usually have. If the lines come together I think the Dons can surprise some people and even make a run if they can get 5 wins. This week will be a good test.

I sure hope they win. Illinois teams have really not made the State look very good this past weekend.

Would love more information on GR-CC. Seems they are a perennial power in what would be 4A/5A here? Also ranked #17 statewide in Michigan. Notre Dame is definitely the much larger school (GR-CC has ~325 boys while ND has over 800).

Any notable players on GR-CC? Guys with D1 offers?

Either way, big early test for ND. Looked really good last week (FAST) but this is a big step up in competition. I hate to call it a "must-win" but with Marist, Providence, Montini, Naz and Rita all still on the schedule, this is a very important game for the Dons to keep their playoff streak alive.

Not sure how much that matters. Cardinal Ritter has about 325 total students and they beat Naz on Friday .

GR-CC up 7-0 at end of 1q. Concert an INT. Teams seem evenly matched thus far.

7-7 half. Two really good teams. Reffing is pretty bad overall (but maybe slightly favoring the Dons... so not complaining too much). Should be a good 2nd half as the Dons have a top 15 Michigan team on the ropes.

Thanks ESCC fan. Listened to the link you provided. Big win for the Dons. With the schedule ahead I looked at this as a must win and the Dons took care of business on the road. Sounded like ND physically beat this team down according to the announcers. Looking forward to seeing them in person next week down at Marist.

Agreed. It was an absolute must-win. Leo and Pat's are likely wins. Then we will just have to notch a win vs one of Marist, Provi, Montini, Naz or Rita. I like our chances.

The team the Dons beat today would be a serious threat to win 4A or 5A in Illinois. A really talented squad. ND definitely out-physicaled them, which is a good sign given the speed shown last week. Looking forward to conference play.
