Hard agree. The national championship is ANCIENT HISTORY. Not worth considering as a factor. And 4 years of results prove that he doesn’t have it.

I think once Lemonis is cashiered, State baseball fans will see how non-“elite” the program really is. And/or they’ll find out how far down the totem pole baseball is in Selmon’s priorities.
For me, I think it's more of the latter, but I begrudgingly agree. Whenever Lemonis is let go, I expect to be very underwhelmed when his replacement is announced. I just don't think Selmon has any interest in spending a cent more than he absolutely has to in order to keep baseball in the black and pretend that he cares.
After ray tanner brought maneri out of retirement to be the gamecocks new coach , that was his last move and he was forced into early retirement. The same could apply to SalmonPatty
