Heard this was BS and a ploy. Either that or our conference leader wants a basketball only conference.
It would make more sense to grab UConn if that’s the angle the B12 wants
Makes zero sense to grab Duke. The Duke football doesn't scream give me a huge contract for my conference.
Apparently since the Big 12 was way overrated this year, Yormark feels the need to bring in some better teams.
8 teams get in this year. 5 in the round of 32. 2 in the Sweet 16. None in the Elite 8. Sounds like Big 12 basketball to me.
Would be smarter to wait for ACC to implode and grab some football schools with a solid and storied history.
This. No basketball only schools. FB drives the dollars and if the Big East taught us anything, schools with BB as their big money motivator can derail that
UConn football is an embarrassment though, at least Duke football is (sadly) on par with the bottom 30-40% of the Big12 as it stands now. UConn is like a skid stain on Houston's underwear.
Can we put them in Pods, because that conversation has been off the table for too long.

Yes and we still kicked their *** every year....that's not saying much sadly.

NC State
UCONN never finished a season ranked in top 25 while in the Big East. They finished regular season ranked 3 times but fell out of Top 25 after losing the bowl game. Their best season ever in Big East was 9-4 (5-2). They were far from becoming a top 25 program.
