Even by UK fan standards, the last 5 years has been one of THE WORST stretches of UK football in the last 40 years!!!!!!!
Since 1974, UK football HAS NEVER GONE MORE THAN 4 YEARS without reaching at least 6 or more wins in a season until last year.
Last year was the 5th year in a row of not reaching at least 6 games. Let me repeat that.....
Since 1974, UK football HAS NEVER GONE MORE THAN 4 YEARS without reaching at least 6 or more wins in a season until last year.
Last year was the 5th year in a row of not reaching at least 6 games.
The Southern Miss game marked the beginning of YEAR 6 IN A ROW of not reaching at least 6 or more wins in a season. UK fans, despite the heartbreak, have always had some degree of hope for a year...in the not so distant future, that we would go bowling or at least field a competitive team. Our internal UK football clocks have been ticking and the alarms rang loud and clear last Saturday night. We are already one year overdue and heading toward year two, with very little hope for anything appreciably better in year three of OVERTIME.
That, my fellow Cats fans, is my diagnosis for the rage and hopelessness most of us are feeling days after this loss. I am left with only two more words to add to this lengthy analysis....
THANKS MITCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
