what really went down over the last 10 days. Who did we interview? Who said yes? Who said no? Did we pick between several people and if so, why Mullen over the others? Enquiring minds want to know.

Supposedly Wilson had a Stoops problem. Wanted to coach in NC, which we were fine with. But.... we said that he had to come here until the dead period to set up staff and recruit. Stoops told Wilson that if he was going to leave until the dead period that he would not coach in the NC. and thus, the deal never went past that. I am told that Byrne was working a deal with Mullen and Wilson at the same time, knowing that one would probably not work out. Hudspeth was was interviewed 3 times as the fall back candidate.

I'm not sure I even want to know. It could just make us disappointed. Who we talked to is not important. I'm pumped about who we got

interviewed. Not necessarily names, but descriptive data (race, age, experience, etc.) and from that you could probably figure out who was interviewed. Most states mandate that. Likewise, Mississippi has a searchable database that will give you the current salary of anybody holding a government job. I do not know if it is on line, but I know it exists.

You expect us to believe that Wilson gave up a $1.5M raise and a 4-year guaranteed contract just to coach in one game? How dumb do you think we are? Wilson might have possibly turned us down for other reasons, but he didn't do it for one game.

(assuming we would have paid him about the $1.7M per year we paid Crxxm), just to coach in one game. As I said, he might have turned us down for other reasons. But not for that one.

We used to look up what all the professors made during our down time at work. As I remember, the Athletic Dept. info only included the office employees or something like that. I think you had to be on a university computer (or state government) to look up the data, too.

You may be right about needing to be on a university computer to access it online, but it is public record and you should be able to request it. You will be able to request a full copy of the contract, along with ALL compensation as soon as it is finalized.

I'll peep around and see if I can figure out how you could do it if you want to.
