She was nominated as AG (I think) under Bill Clinton. She hired a house maid who didn’t have papers yet, legal at the time, but withdrew her name because she knew it would cause a big stink. She ended up being a federal judge in US district court. Thanks right wingers! LOL! Oh the irony.
That's all correct, but you left out important details. There was a nominee before her that had an illegal nanny but was paying under the table. That one was declined. Clinton didn't want to go down that road again, it had nothing to do with right wingers.
