Prior to the game, I always assumed that the majority of Vandy fans were alumni...I mean, why the hell else would you follow that team?

That is, until Saturday.

I mean, it's not like they're exactly used to this whole winning thing. The poor guys just don't know what to do.

That said, there was just one Vandy fan close to us during the game and I swear the guy was about to have an aneurysm every time Vandy made a half decent play. Dude was freakin crazy

at the game. While the camo jersey sucks I have worn full camo bibs to a couple of games before. The 98 Egg Bowl and the Snow Bowl. In fact I saw a lot of people with it on. I guess it's a go all out or nothing type deal.

Now, the board has often debated the blazer and tie issue. But, could you tell me one damn reason you would wear camo bibs to a damn football game?

Did you not want anyone to see you?

i have no idea why you would've worn that to the 98 egg bowl in oxford. the 2000 game in the cold downpour, i could understand, as well as the snow bowl. but not 98.

Most people in MS do not own any North Face, Burton, Patagonia, or Marmot outerwear.

I also laugh my *** off at those rednecks in camo when there is no hunting season going on...
It just baffles me that someone would just choose to wear camo over regular clothes...

Have you not walked around Mississippi States campus lately? It's like reeds had a huge going out of business sale everday.

Well, most of my camo attire is more comfortable and functional in the winter than "regular clothes" and if I'm going to spend a good bit more than it's worth for cool weather gear then it will be something I like not some big name. As for the jersey, I don't wear any jerseys but I'd wear that before I wore a sport coat and tie to an effing football game.

when it's 85 degrees outside. Yesterday, when walking into Sam's at 4:30, a young lady, maybe around 25 had her North Face jacket on. I just didn't get it.

There are several months in late spring and all summer when there is no season open.

My point is these damn rednecks just wear camo, season or not.
Half the time they don't even hunt.

I just hate it when people assume you are a redneck just b/c you went to MSU.
I know plenty of rednecks from Ole Miss...

Well I don't count coons and frogs, but maybe your family likes to hunt them...

Believe it our not, there is a small break in March where nothing(including frogs and coons) is in season...

You can kill those damn things any time.

But, how many people kill a hog, leave it hanging in the walk in cooler, look at what they were wearing when they gutted the creature, wonder if they should change and then say "ah, 17 it."

the point is that people that wear bib camo overalls to a game aren't doing that because they are taking a 3 hour break from hunting. They are doing that because that is how they keep warm. If you can buy a bunch of expensive *** hunting clothes, you can buy a normal coat. If not, ask for Uncle Fred's normal coat when he dies. He won't be using it.

that lame *** scruffy thing people grow in the winter, with the ******** explanation that "it helps keep me warm." Really? You have hair on your head yet you still wear a hat. And it ain't antarctica around the south regardless.

They have other coats. They just want to be seen in camo. Which I find baffling.

I'm ready for Khayat, ergo Boone, to move on. If this helps that, good. If it doesn't, I don't care one way or the other about it.

money. Your University gets preferential treatment in the appropriations process. It's buried so that most people aren't aware of it. But, it's there. He is certainly an advocate for Ole Miss that is pretty valuable.

sometimes the warmest thing people own is their camo. have i worn it to a game? no. but i own other stuff. each to his own i guess. i could care less if someone was in waders at the game if it is cold as hell. a lot of people don't show up when it is cold, especially the blue hairs, so i am happy to have them in the stands regardless of their attire.

as for the winter beard...i have one in the winter because i don't like to wear a facemask when hunting because it can obstruct my vision. the hairy face helps a small amount to keep me warm and it is good camo instead of a white face on a tree limb. i also wear a hat even though i do have hair on my head. i don't mind wearing a hat because it doesn't obstruct my vision like a facemask sometimes does. and the hat keeps me even warmer.

see there is rhyme to the redneck reason sometimes

when it is not that cold outside.

Also, those neoprene facemasks used for skiiing work great and don't obstruct your vision typically.

I think you still know what I'm talking about in general. You know people who do all of this not to help their hunting, but more so to show off.
