True. But we are very close to being sent to the kid's table as well. For different reasons, yes. The articles you link are clear. Nebraska is a blue blood due to its history, but a few more years of our putrid mediocrity and we will not be on these lists either.

Certainly very interesting to see all the great things accomplished up through the 20's 30's and then the revival with BD. When you consider the population comparison with those other peer teams it is damn near astonishing.....I know things aren't so great lately but they are not terrible either.

Over the last 50 years (when football started to truly integrate nationally) NU still has like 30 more wins than any other D1 team. Think about that. Even with 15 years of average football we still haven't been caught.

Nebraska has to be on the list of eligible to fade away. We're talking 20 years now since the last title. Truly amazing to me if you'd have told me that after 1997.

And yet there were 23 years in between Devaney's last championship and Osborne's first. Seems like people tend to forget that when they talk about how long it's been since our last one.

True if you are talking national titles. But Osborne won many, many conference titles before 1994. National titles are hard to win. But you should, if you are a blue blood like Nebraska, win several conference titles over a 17 year span. We have not won squat since 1999.

Oh woe to poor Nebraska fans. Pity them as their team has only won close to 900 games in its history. I think many of you should just step off that ledge and get it over with.
