Was talent the problem when UCLA and Northwestern beat Penn State?
Penn state was preseaon top 5. They took Indiana to the wire. They’re better than their record. Their strength matches up well with our weakness. You can point to their record and losses all you want but it doesn’t make them less talented and less primed to take advantage of our team’s glaring year long weaknesses.

Again, UCLA and Northwestern were also less talented than they were. They used matchups and coaching adjustments to their advantage. Why can’t we?

UCLA had a qb far better than any player we have that went off vs Penn state. It was a road game 3 time zones away and Penn state laid an egg in the first half

northwestern has a sound run defense that could slow down Penn states offnse

Transiative property doesn’t work in college football. Matchups matter. Just because we beat teams that beat Penn state, doesn’t mean we match up well with Penn state

some of you are so ******* stupid. Stop being emotional about this and look at it rationally.

Nothing about my questions were emotional. Perhaps you should stop taking things so personally over a child’s game.

Many on here are reacting emotionally. I responded to more than just you.

there is no coaching adjustment available this year to stop a team that is more talented than us upfront and wants to run the ball. Nw is good stopping the run. We are not. That’s personel. Not coaching

How is this coaching and not talent?
In year three it is both. The coaches are also responsible for the talent level of the team.

In the NIL era it doesn't take six years to to see if a coach is successful anymore at a school. With that said, a total rebuild like Matt has had to do after Frost absolutely destroyed our program deserves some extra time to build a culture.

The question is why are we getting trunk monkeyed by a 4-6 team in the 11th game of his third season? How much grace does he have left after the latest debacle?

Anyone insisting Penn state is bad or insinuating it based on their record isn’t being intellectually honest about who they are as a team. We all know; player for player; they’re better than us. That shouldn’t be controversial.

They’ve lost 6 in a row and without a couple starters including their QB.
