My question is what test are they using?

I was listening to Bob & Tom (love their comedy) this morning and they cited an article where you can technically have the COV19 virus but have it at such a low level that you’re not contagious or symptomatic or be a threat at all. Certain tests have a better accuracy of how infected you are.

It makes sense to me since as a healthy person (nonsmoker, runs and lifts daily) who spent the 4th in Daytona and never got infected or wore a mask. I just stayed in my own group. I think as time goes on we may learn this was not as dangerous as thought for the overwhelming majority of citizenry.

For me I’ve went from no way they cancel college football (April) to no way they have college football (June) to I think they’re gonna have college football and I’m gonna enjoy it (August) & to hell with the B1G and their pansy commissioner and presidents (excluding Nebraska). Like I said it’s fluid and I think the media ‘sell fear to keep you tuned in’ business model like Jim Cantore on the weather channel may have over exaggerated things a bit too much.

Yawn. Another liberal from WVU that wants to spread doom and gloom.

Go digital and start slashing some of these salaries and slashing the fees the students pay. Or just get used to it, go to class, and no one will end up dying.

Serious problem that will have to be addressed at some point. Can't let the right wingers ignorance create a Covid hotspot in such a small population state.

I wonder if the marches sanctioned by the Ministry of Truth in support of serial domestic abusers and pedophilic sexual predators over the weekend contributed to the uptick in cases?

I certainly hope and expect those who I saw marching maskless, shoulder-to-shoulder will be fined and threatened with expulsion. I doubt it.

The academic cathedral not only wants to indoctrinate the minds of its students in the classroom, it wants to control their behavior even within private residences.

The liberal institutions in America (all institutions) are so committed in their opposition to Trump that they cannot simply cannot admit that the Wuhan virus has been weaponized as a political tool. They were so invested in fighting their boogeyman that they wanted things to worsen just so they could say "Trump killed grandma." Now they're stuck in sunk costs, refusing to acknowledge improvements and doubling down on the hysteria.

Earlier this week the CDC cited that ONLY 6% of all Wuhan deaths were the sole result of the virus. Age wasn't even factored in. For the non-math majors out there, that means 94% of all deaths were not the result of the virus alone. For Christ's sake, murder victims have legitimately been put on the death tallies. And 97 year olds. Six months ago a nonagenarian dies and everyone says, "Full life. I hope to live as long." Now it's "THE EUROPEAN TRUMP INDUCED COVID FLU KILLS BELOVED GREAT-GREAT GRANDFATHER!"

The median age of death from the virus is 80. The average American lifespan is 78. This is not a threat to college-aged people. It's barely an issue for anyone not already in hospice.

As he mentioned this is a small sample size.

Vernon seems that a positive is not the same as a case. Case to me is when someone has coronavirus - you isolate them. Science shows clearly that it's the old folks that it hits the worse. 95+% of all deaths are 65+. WVU is treating the students the same way a nursing homes and retirement communities are treating the old folks. There's not need for all the precaution with the kids - it's just doesn't affect the same way as it affects the older folks.

CDC Covid Death Statistics as of 2 September 2020:

Ages 15-24: 300..not a typo... THREE-ZERO-ZERO. Total, nationwide, for the year. Out of a total of 19,318 deaths from all causes for ages 15-24. Covid deaths account for 1.55% of deaths in this age group. The total population of 15-24 year olds in the USA, again from the CDC chart for 2 September 2020, is 42,970,800. 300 deaths out of a population of 42.97 million. That is .0006981% of the 15-24 population.

In case you think I'm just cherry-picking one group, total Covid deaths in the nation for ages 1-14 is 14 and 25-34 is 1,318. It's beyond ridiculous.

Does it always have to be turned into a political football? There are as many right wingers as left wingers on each side of the play/don't play line. Trump isn't responsible for the way you want to live your life. You shouldn't always give in to Nancy's venom. Given a choice you can make your own decision.
