30 plus on JV and 30 plus on varsity for the Bears. Looks like your cards are geared up for a couple special years ESOD, like what I’ve saw in the 7 on 7’s from Gosnell, Smith , Boaz and the other receivers , lottta talent out there to say the least.
Any word out of N. Stokes, will they field a JV team this year?

Bishop on their athletics calendar site had JV games listed this year so I expect them to try their hardest to field one. Best I remember from last year they didn't bother to have JV's listed last year so that's a step up.
North Stokes I haven't heard yet. They will be having a ton of juniors on varsity this year so it may be iffy.
I counted 66 last night for N Surry. 32 on Varsity and 34 on JV. We will prob get a few more kids when school starts on JV and we will 8 quarter a few too.
NS has around 35 kids for varsity and JV--both teams should be around the 17 number mark--low compared to others but Sessoms is working hard to spur the interest back into the program. JV will have a lot of rising freshman with most of the soph's playing varsity. Varsity will be young also with mostly soph's and junior's but at this time both are expected to field a team.
Starmount had 42 total. That is so hard to see my alma mater struggling to get players out. Heck we used to have 42 on varsity back late 80s and 90s.
Could be. I counted the kids yesterday. Could of been off 3-5 kids. Also im not sure if the lineman was on the field.

Sounds like some numbers are down in some places. Kids just aren't playing football like they used to.
So hard to compete with a large 1 aa school with numbers like this. Ma played them in state game with the smallest enrollment school in 1AA last year....Tarboro was awesome team and wore us down with their numbers and size. Very good team that could easily win title in 2A.
Albemarle has about 40, but we will field a JV team....

I was told about 26 right now by a reliable source. Hope we pick up 3 or 4 more when school strarts.

When a small 1A team only has 20 some odd players like most do, 3 more extra players can make all the difference in the world. Trust me
