Actually glad he did otherwise if and when this Russian thing falls apart they can't blame a "compromised" Nunes.
Yes, the Democrats were trying to make him the object of the investigation by charging he's been compromised so this move takes that strategy away from them so we can focus on exactly who's been trying to undermine the electoral process.
It's not Nunes.
