This could probably have gone in several of the threads on here, but I am too pissed to give where much thought. I swore Saturday that I was done, but I could not stand to walk away after watching this mess for fifty plus years. Coach Stoops says he is tired of the lack of toughness. Well, he is making a great deal of money to correct that problem. He needs to start pushing some of the deadwood out of the program. I cannot stand to watch the same player drop pass after pass and still play. That is a cancer to the remainder of the receivers. Boom Williams would be a great back in a two back system, but he needs a true between the tackles alternate. Jojo is doing his best, but he lacks the power to consistently break tackles, and with our line there are a lot to break. The three four defense is a joke without an imaginative pass rush scheme. The development of these players has been pitiful - Timmons, Barker, Conrad, Elam, Horton, Hatcher, and Baker all came in here with potential, but their on the field play has been lacklustre. Hell, I believe players like Flannigan, Stamps, and Towles regresssed. We developed no offensive scheme that has any continuity to it. I feel like Stoops was saddled with the air raid concept as a condition for the job, and he is not comfortable with it. Well Coach you said you were tired of a lack of toughness. It starts with you!
