One of my buddies was standing near Nutt at the Bear alumni meeting two nights ago and he heard one of the "Big Bears", a local attorney, ask Nutt "Why are you continuing to go out and recruit these hoodlum type players"? Nutt kind of blushed but told him, "What would you do if you knew you didn't have enough good players"? The attorney said, "that may be so, but what good does it do us if they continue to get in trouble and ruin team chemistry?" Nutt's reply, "my job is to make sure they don't get in trouble and we all know the good ones will go pro quickly anyway". What an amazing response but it clearly shows the desperation and difference between Coach Mullen and this clown. He would probably take a death row inmate if he could get him eligible.I was told the attorney told some folks after Nutt quickly ran off to a more gentile , adoring group, that this clown is ruining my University but we can't fire him because we don't have $6,000,000 and then tore up Boone for another 10 minutes. Interesting times on the Plantation.

When Veazy's storycame out, I thought it was interesting timing on Boone deciding he suddenly needed to share the details of the private foundation coaching contracts. I view it as setting expectations with the fan base thatthey are stuck with Nutt no matter how bad the team isthis fall so they should go ahead and get used to it.

He will be the best thing that ever happened to MSU just like Croom and Templeton were to the Bears.
