What changed in the Tennessee game ?
I'm sorry for laughing. It struck me as funny.UT defensive scheme. Beamer talked about how they were covering him.

He's not a WR. Bottom line.
I saw him open on deep routes but wasn’t targeted, the most glaring was the Miss st loss.I'm sorry for laughing. It struck me as funny.

I said this last year... it ought to be a set play, mandatory, ..... bomb it downfield to Harbor, I don't care if he's triple covered. Yes, it might be dropped, intercepted, or caught, and you live with all 3 outcomes because if you do that at least twice per half, it WILL loosen up the D for the run game.I saw him open on deep routes but wasn’t targeted, the most glaring was the Miss st loss.
Here it is....Regardless, he has been amassing stats this season and the reason for the change Saturday was UT decided to take him away and take their chances on others beating them.
I'll leave the "not a WR" discussion for others to enjoy.![]()
The Bobby Bowden / Steve Spurrier method of the 90s heaving the ball isn't popular anymore because the odds of an incompletion or INT vastly outweight the catch because of defensive alignments today. Big deal if incomplete right? Well the computer models and odds don't like the throwaround down and want a higher % play. Personally, I'm with you on this one for the excitement but that's why you don't see it more often. Also, Harbor really hasn't proven that he's good in that role. He's better hitting him 20 yards downfield on a slant or something and letting him run.I said this last year... it ought to be a set play, mandatory, ..... bomb it downfield to Harbor, I don't care if he's triple covered. He's not a threat if you never take the shot. Needs to be hammered into Sellers head that it is a set play, and you gotta let it fly no matter what.

14:17 mark. I don't know who this guy is breaking it down or even if he's right or wrong. I just remember that this is play I was talking about.
I'm not seeing a NH problem there. On that play I see him with some separation and he has to slow up for (another) underthrown ball. That's a LS problem, but at this point it's common knowledge he has consistency issues. If he leads NH, it's likely 6 (purely speculative on him making the catch). Even the best aren't at their best when QB inaccuracy handicaps them.
The issues I've seen with NH revolve around route-running technique, having soft hands and other WR skill set issues. He was Usain Bolt Jr. when he got to USC, not Randy Moss Jr. They thought/hoped he could be Moss but it doesn't seem to be progressing as quickly as they thought/hoped.
But the OP asked "what changed" from the previous games to the UT game. The answer was defensive scheming that resulted in decreasing stats, not that he isn't a WR... because he apparently wasn't one when he accrued the prior stats.![]()
amassing?? FL receiver had that in a half this year.Regardless, he has been amassing stats this season and the reason for the change Saturday was UT decided to take him away and take their chances on others beating them.

Ultimately, it can be to our advantage to use him as a decoy. Especially if they are running that 2 deep safety and forcing one on ones on the corners ala Clemson. Runn him deep every play and empty out the middle for Mo Brown. That was one our most effect "set" plays of hte day.Pick your favorite word to describe: accumulated, accrued, etc. The point is he went from some to none and the OP wanted to know why. Talk to King if you're into wordsmithing.I'm more the engineering/physics type.

Its Roo-diculous.lol. What in the world.
SOS just "heaved" it down field? Bobby Bowdens' offenses too? First...under Jeff Bowden - maybe you're right. One of the worst pass offenses (scheme and coaching) I can remember for those 4-5 years under Jeffy boy.
But, you mentioned two of the foremost, innovative pass attacks in the 80s and 90s. FSU with McDuffie with his spread, Brad Scott (fast break) and then Richt. Funny too that two of the guys on this list have been USC head coaches at one time.
Also....20 yard slants?
come on man.

Say it a little louder for those in the back!! (I think those in the back are the coaching staff.....After seeing that crazy long throw by Sellers, through the end zone, you would think with his arm strength and Harbor's speed just a longer to develop go route where he just sprints straight, would have a chance once in a while.
I'll say this; Whatever they do, we NEED to see more Mo Brown!!!! Dude makes something happen every time he is given the chance!!Ultimately, it can be to our advantage to use him as a decoy. Problem with that is it’s close to just throwing away a down because the throw has to be perfect; if it’s a shade long Harbor won’t lay out for it (neither will no. 85) and if it’s a shade short he won’t go up and fight for it (he may not know how, who knows.) Dropping a ball in on someone that moves as fast as Harbor is like a 40 foot putt; just try to get close.Say it a little louder for those in the back!! I've been screaming this for 3yrs now! The last couple of years, Sellers didn't have the time to let such a play develop; this year, there's time!

Oh yeah for sure; good stuff in theory. Just saying if you watch harbor he doesn’t sell super convincingly, and he eventually will get weary of sprinting 60 yards as a decoy. I’m all for three-four long balls per game; just like to see him a bit more aggressive. Its success rate might be low, but it would force the defense to accomodate somewhat. May pay dividends on other plays when Harbor is not involved.

Just think by the next presidential inauguration, he will have it down!!He's a work in progress.
Sounds crazy but, he gets off to a slow, lumbering start. Why can the fastest man on the field not get open?
Getting open is more of a feel thing than a speed thing.Sounds crazy but, he gets off to a slow, lumbering start.
He is fast.
He is not quick.
Fair enoughGetting open is more of a feel thing than a speed thing.
Yep. He's only a deep threat, and you have to have time for him to get up to speed.Sounds crazy but, he gets off to a slow, lumbering start.
He is fast.

Some team is going to take a chance. Too big of an upside to miss on. I've been higher on Sellers since high school. Throws a pretty deep ball most of the time. Sadly, might not be the best fit to develop a receiver. Senior game is going to go a long way. He might not even play if practice goes well.I said this last year... it ought to be a set play, mandatory, ..... bomb it downfield to Harbor, I don't care if he's triple covered.
