If you can take A1A as far south as you can go and you'll be in South Beach. Park your car and walk down Ocean Drive and check out that whole area from 1st (tip of South Beach) all the way up to 17th street. There's a $.50 trolley that comes by that will take you around too. The Beach lines the entire coast side next to Ocean Drive and there's all sorts of really famous and awesome restaurants and shops all around that area. Prime 112 is on 5th and Ocean or right next to it I think. This is a super famous restaurant that all the Miami Heat went to to welcome in LeBron. There's another one called Smith & Wolinski (sp.) that overlooks the ocean that sells $5,000 bottles of wine. Looking for something more affordable check out the Big Pink right by Prime 112. This restaurant is absolutely awesome and everything on the gigantic menu is under $20. There's a huge outdoor mall that you can walk on 17th street. If you walk all the way down to the tip and go towards Alton street you'll be able to watch all the cruise ships leaving. Miami is a fun city but don't go West too far or it stats looking like a total ********. Stay in Miami Beach (south of 17th street is called South Beach), Brickell or Coral Gables, anything west of that stay far away. Walk around for an hour and you'll see 50 models from 50 different countries. It's 17ing awesome but expensive as fu@k.

Bring plenty of money. I went when I was 20 and remember beers being between $7-$8 a bottle. I have no idea what I paid for mixed drinks but I know I spent nearly a whole paycheck in one night at the mansion. All in all it was fun though. I don't like heights and our condo was on the 30 something floor and it gave me severe anxiety so I didn't go to our place unless I was hammered drunk.

Lincoln Road on south beach is the world famous pedestrian street. this is a must do. At the west end near alton road is a Shake
Shack, awesome burgers & shakes. A block south of lincoln road & a block east of alton is Yard Bird, a new trendy soul food place. Try the fried chicken w// waffles & spiced watermelon. get the fried green tomato BLT appetizer. great selection of booze. for a classic miami meal go to the Versiall
es (sp) on calle ocho in Little Havana. it is a huge cuban restaurant w/ gaudy mirrored walls. Lunch on sundays is a treat to see everyone in their sunday best. Red fish at Matheson hammock park is a good restaurant. one of the scenes from Theres Something About Mary was filmed there. this is at the south end of town on Old Cutler Road near Fairchild Gardens, a world famous botanical garden. this part of town feels more like low country SC, huge live oak canopies & pine trees as opposed to palms & sand.

AT Dinner Key Marina is Scotties Landing, a great place to throw back some beers & watch hammered guidos try to dock their boats. You literally have to walk through a working marina, dodging fork lifts to get to the bar. this is near coconut grove at the old miami city hall which was at one time the Pan Am sea plane terminal.

The new Perez Art Gallery near the AAA is very good. When you get tired of the east coast, come to my side, Naples is only 2 hours from Miami but a world apart. Have fun.
