Lehigh Defense makes a somewhat similar subsonic round for .300 blackout. The similarities being the bullet having seperate "petals" that break apart and create separate wound channels.

Been meaning to order some, but I still have about 6 months before I get my suppressor.

I would rather have a slug that stayed intact. I don't want 16 inches of penetration(that's what she said). I want something that stops in 8. Don't get me wrong, I don't want to get shot with one of those things. For money Spear gold dot in 40 or 45 is the premium self defense round.
