we aren't playing Oakland next week. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't grinning ear-to-ear right now but I'm trying to remain level headed about the fact that we are playing a Div 2 team.
in Denver and Atlanta nobody would give him a shot. Of course, Al Davis would.

Seriously, I grew up a Raider fan (any 6-packer's got to love the Snake), but I kind of fell out with the NFL a few years after graduating (87). Got all excited the year the Raiders got screwed in NE (guess karma's a ***** for 76) & said the hell with it after that. Davis used to be able to take the washed up guys & make a hell of a team. Now, he seems to take the washed up guys & make a ****** team.

I saw that, what a joke. FIFA should do something about t hat. If we're going to send a team there, play during the day or have a proper field and lighting, or no game.
When Kelly joined State in 2001, the Bulldogs had had winning seasons 4 seasons in a row, and won two of three bowls. By the time he left in 2003, we were a two-win team and known for being a bunch of gutless quitters.
Fast forward to Oakland. When he first signed with the Raiders, they were a year removed from being a Super Bowl team. Now they're the laughingstock of the NFL.

I have grown up a Raiders fan and I am convinced that this franchise isnt going anywhere until Al Davis gives up and lets someone else run the team. He cannot leave soon eneough. With that being said, they have some good oung players there and I will continue to hold on to some hope that if they can get a few more pieces in they will get thinsg turned around
