Been thereThere is a guy at +31 and he's not done with day 2 yet. Brutal.
Same, and that was only after a few holes.Been there
When I joined the club up the road, I asked what was the course record? Pro said 61. I told him "really, I can break that on the front 9."Been there
In Florida at a convention at the San Destin Hilton years ago . Sitting in the cart with a buddy drinking beer waiting to play the first hole at their original course. Dude drives up in a cart next to us in full scuba gear with three big net bags of golf balls he had retrieved. Without saying a word we went back in the pro-shop and bought a dozen re-washed balls. We proceeded to lose every one plus half of what we had in our bags. Pitiful golf but a damn good time.I remember me and brother once pulling up to the tee box on the 2nd hole, long par three down hill, Navy Base course in Meridian. The guy on the number 3 tee box stomping and cussing, we watched him tear his score card up and throw it in the garbage, that's 2 holes in and I guess a horrible tee shot on 3. It can be a brutal sport.
