Maybe the heels will take some lessons from him tonight.

The number of celebrities inside Cameron tonight could approach some kind of record. First, this Duke team has a bit of a Beatles feel to it, and second, what better way to see them than to see them playing in the biggest rivalry in college basketball?

Who else?

Who else?

I saw an article yesterday that listed a number of hip-hop artists, but I couldn't tell you any of their names. Rumor has it that Floyd Mayweather will also be back.

My guess is we find out tonight. The camera will be panning the bleachers throughout the night.

Hope there is no ten minute interview in the stands by sideline reporter during game action. As was done Saturday with Tyus interview.

Appeared Tyus was trying to follow what was happening on floor and annoying sideline reporter just kept asking silly questions.

Is there a celebrity list out today?

That's ******* awesome. Jay Z, Lebron, Obama... not bad.

Any other news on who, specifically, will be there? Is there a link somewhere?

That was one of my all time favorite segments EVER.

Don't you mean Ariana Grande?

Very controversial visit. Can't believe it's being allowed. Obama lied to the American people when he said you could keep your health care plan if you liked it.
Wait, Ariana Grande is gonna be at the game tonight?!

Hopefully celebrities coverage don’t overshadow game. I will be watching local ACC telecast rather than ESPN telecast for this reason.

See, the first half of this post made me laugh because of the timeliness of it.

Then the second half made me roll my eyes at the stupidity of it.

So overall, it was a wash of a post.

BTW, Donald Trump did come to a game, back in 2005. He sat on the UNC side. Roy said today that he wouldn't invite him back.

I’m not trying to bring any politics into this, just bring attention that Duke is once again the biggest stage in college basketball.

Most people have been able to keep politics out of it. It's just cool to have a former President come to the game. Who else has had that this year?

Any politician would be circus dumb to NOT display an affinity for the UNC men's basketball team. It is the favorite team of a large number of people in a swing state. Likewise, they'd be dumb to alienate the OSU or PSU fanbase in CFB.
.
SEC states/schools are largely going to vote a certain way (Georgia and UGA make this iffy). Ditto the UK hoops fans in KY.
.
Duke alienates too many folks around the nation. We are more loved, nationally, sure. But we are hated across much of the land as well.
.
When filling out an NCAA bracket, while knowing that you have to win elections (or campaign for folks as they run), picking UNC is the smart, safe bet. Other swing states generally don't give 2 poops about college hoops. Of the few states that do care, only NC is a swing state. So appease them. If NCSU was a legit national power, the UNC love would die out.
.
Obama had a gold plated Devil as his body man, and that spoke more to me than lip service that was probably written by advisors with an eye towards optics and electoral maps.

I cannot imagine that Obama will take a stand in terms of which team he is rooting for. As PY mentioned, his Duke basketball connection is strong, but he also has been friendly with Roy and UNC. I think it will just be the coolness of having him there that people will appreciate.

It's merely a *spoof* of the Floyd Mayweather thread. No more, no less.

* Spoof [from dictionary.com]: "a mocking imitation of someone or something, usually light and good-humored"

Ah, thank god. I thought it seemed a bit over the top... but there are a few posts here that AREN'T meant to be spoof and sound roughly the same:)

What is his strong Duke connection?
He is a UNC fan. So there are now even more reasons to dislike them.
