As a result of some premium seats that fell into my lap, I was able to experience up close the magic that is Rick's Rowdies.<div>Holy ****; It looked like a Hamlin - Hull Hall swap. And who had the idea to seat these beasts behind the press table? Never before had I seen such concentrated amount of turribleness in the Hump. And David Murray, you keep rockin' the kid toucher, turtle neck/blazer combo look.</div><div>

That way we'll all look just as cool as the folks who wear pink to the games.<div>

The rowdies are lame.

You do realize that there are quite a few people who aren't rowdies that actually wear school colors to games, right? And since we're on the subject, what was up with the rowdies in orange shirts last night? I couldn't tell what they said, but I'm pretty sure orange isn't an official MSU color either.

to rip on them. I hope they go the way of the radio star once Stans is fired or quits/retires. Actaully thats first reason I want Stans gone is so he can take his rowdies with him, I'm not a Stans basher at this point, just sayin.

And the "folks who wear pink to games"put a better face forward from a PR perspective then the Rowdies whocontinually look like **** and reflect badly upon our university.

And you won't get any argument from me that the Rowdies are lame. But they're there to support their school. They show up early and cheer, and that's OK by me.<div>
</div><div>By the way, I'm pretty sure that they're/there/their trifecta just made someone's head explode.</div>

(1) they're on tv all the time, not necessarily improving MSU's image(2) they're more into playing dress up than they're into basketball, and (3) you shouldn't be able to increase your chances of getting a student ticket by being a douche.

Any student can sit down there. I stand with the Rowdies every game. I'm not one, but I like being able to standup and cheer and not worry about someone asking me to sit down which used to happen before I moved down.

I don't understand how this is an issue. If the Rowdies didn't exist, no one would be getting excessively loud. They might be saying stupid **** or wearing dumb outfits, but this still leads to a louder stadium which is good for our team.</p>

But when I was in school they tried different ways to give Rick's Rowdies preferential treatment, not with seats, but with tickets. One year they let them pick up season packets, other years they let them pick up single tickets before everybody else. From your comment, I'm assuming they cut out that bull ****. If so, the only complaint is that they look like dubmasses on tv, but they're probably notmuch worse than any other schools' "rowdies" group

i think they still get first priority on away game tickets.
