We all know JoMo is a "dead-coach walking" in 2020. We all want him to succeed, but after 26 games the writing is on the wall.

The most irritating issues regarding the state of Bulldog football is probably the lack of discipline, mental and physical toughness, and the "me-first" attitudes.

Over the past season, have you guys gone and watched games/highlights of the 2017 team and the 2018 team on YouTube? And observed the speed, physicality, and toughness of those squads compared to what we watched this season? Pretty remarkable. I know we had 3-superstars on the defense last year but even guys like Erroll Thompson as we know were flying around and making plays and always seem to be around the ball and in the right position to make a tackle. And then in Week-1 vs Louisiana, he looks 15lbs overweight and slow as can be.

We all know we have a strength and conditioning problem, but even last year the Offensive Line was tough, played with some control, and had some physicality and technique. It was amazing to see how far this unit dropped off this season. The performances vs Tennessee and Louisville by this unit was atrocious. They looked like they should be backups on a Sun Belt team. They actually looked slower and fatter than in the Egg Bowl. They got dominated by a Louisville defensive unit that has no business dominating anyone. (Props to Coach Scott Statterfield of Louisville who took over an awful squad that won two games in 2018 and won eight games in 2019 including wins over Wake Forest and Virginia...we know JoMo would not beat those squads...that's a sign of progress and good coaching). Not to bash on these young men and their play...just pointing out how much a difference 8-9 months can make. This is on the coaches.

I was able to catch most of the first half of the Belk Bowl with Kentucky vs VA Tech. I was surprised to see how big Kentucky's OLine was and the commentators pointed it out. I know we defeated Kentucky back in Week-5 in Starkville but we would get run off the field by them now. They were big and quick and physical. Watching their Guards and Tackles pull and and close off the edges and get to the second level vs LBs and DBs with control and physicality was something to watch. I was thinking to myself that State's OLine could not even come close to doing the things they were doing versus VA Tech.

Anyways, just talking about things we all know here. Haha

Happy New Year and Hail State.
