Ballard is turning into a badass. He is getting better and better as the season progresses. Perkins seems to be getting a little better with more experience as well. Bumphis is a quick guy who doesn't have that huge top end speed and that prevents him from being the "Percy Harvin" that many here want and expected him to be. He is good and people should stop bitching about him (although I would like to see his hands improve some) not being a play maker. I would like to see Russell with a quicker release. He is a little slow delivering the ball when throwing it down field twenty yards or more. Hopefully that will improve with experience. I see why McCardell doesn't play. He is fast as hell and can beat the tackle, but if the qb makes one move, he runs ten yards past him before recovering. Who do we have to replace Sherrod, Wright, and White? I hope we don't run into the same problem the rebels did when they lost Oher. And my contribution to the "unsubstantiated rumor" category, Manny Diaz was recently praising Favre to some bigwig alums. Said he picks the defense apart running the scout team. Of course, I don't know how good the info is and i will wait to see it with my own eyes to believe it.

granted this was Houston's run defense, but Ballard also showed some speed getting to the corner on that 54 yard run. Replacing Sherrod and White is the biggest concern going into next year. I'm assuming Damien Robinson will take over left tackle, but he will be a RS freshman. I think he has as higher ceiling than Sherrod in terms ofphysical tools, but it remains to be seen how he'll develop. As far as replacing White...maybe Deontae Skinner?

I was noticing that guy just can't make a cut. Instead of making a cut back he makes some big rounded arc like he's running a wheel route.

I think is fate is sealed for special teams and mop-up duty at RB.
