Incoming freshman studs would be nice, but 1) How do you recruit high level and hope they dont sign and 2) once you get them to campus hope that they don't get a huge carrot dangled in front of their face from a rival school

No one thing but a lot of things:

NIL, team success, game atmosphere, campus life, the coaches and a player's personal situation. State is one of the few best destination places for college baseball players more so than last year for two major things. The coach State hired and the NIL support and that keeps players.
