Despite the painfully obvious regression, his "3 bowls in a row" has sealed his job at State for no less than another year.

For years, you liked that.

That's a very valid point.

But, in fairness, those teams never regressed anywhere near the bottom of the league.

I'd be more apt to give Mullen the benefit of the doubt right now if Freeze and the entire rest of the SEC wasn't mopping the floor with his *** in recruiting...

IMO you can get away with subpar coaching OR subpar recruiting but not both. Stans consistently had a major strength in one and weakness in the other. Right now, Mullen has both of the weaknesses. Cohen has both of the strengths.
