that's what it is, Japanese hibachi takeout, at least for the one that I order from periodically on Lake Harbor. Their "dinning area" is a akin to a gas-station sandwich deli.
But I think it's great for what it is. It's fried rice and meat prepared quickly. There is no effort/time spent on vegetables, which have no bearing on my decision to order anyway. It has never taken more than 15 minutes, which many times is too quick for me to get there in time). In my experience, getting takeout from an full-service hibachi restaurant can take 45+ min.
On a side note, I hope they send their guy from the Lake Harbor location, who is the Japanese equivalent of the Soup Nazi, to aid in the opening process. That guy is a complete dick and makes me feel like I'm burdening him with my business. Also, I think he's violated my civil liberties since he knows my name although I always call from my cell and have never once given him my name.
If you're wanting to think it is authentic, Japanese prepared food....let me burst you're bubble....those are Mexican immigrants cooking your food in the kitchen. Also their pink sauce isn't as good as other hibachi restaurants....which is actually a pretty big 17ing deal to me.
