Thanks, that's probably the first HS Basketball game I've seen in 25 years.
Kinda an ugly game. Refs likely called right because it’s a repeat game and earliest in the year. Alton has the brawl ... my guess is they wanted right reins. Thanks, that's probably the first HS Basketball game I've seen in 25 years.
Good game, but both teams need to work on shooting from the charity stripe. There were also a lot of charging fouls, I'm not sure if that was physical play or Refs calling it close.
If my nfhs still works I'll check those games out. Cancelled it last night, but should be good till the 10th.Simeon lost two in a tourney yesterday - teams from TN and MS. Currie lost to Salesia, CA, in Paducah, KY. It was their first blemish.
Streaming from highland, ESL and Bloomington at 1:00 and at 9:00,West v Vashon, the prep version of a Bragging Rights game.
Fun game to watch. Refs were awful, but luckily the awfulness was pretty balanced and didn't seem to favor either team. lolWest Beat Vashon 79-72.
EJ with 26 points, 12 boards and 6 blocks.
Had a self alley-oop off of the backboard for a dunk that brought the house down.
It was one hell of a game.
Alton beat Maine South 44-33.
That was a grown man move! lolEj’s Backboard Alley Oop.

East Side tops Alton but Donovan Clay sounds like the player of the game.
The 6-foot-7 jumping jack finished with 27 points, 17 rebounds and blocked five shots.Terrance Hargrove was tasked with checking Clay much of the night. “It's hard. He can handle, he can jump, he can do it all,” Hargrove said. “You have to guard him honest and play hard against him.”
Vashon visits East Side on Friday.
I must say this result shocks me - the Flyers looked disinterested last weekend ... terrible body language displayed too.
Were they full strength when they played the Flyers earlier in the year?Clay played well for Alton. He has stepped up with the leading scorer out.

I was disappointed in how they played against Bloomington.
That will be a test. Cam’ron and Mario are stars and there is a great supporting cast.
I heard West offered and home/road with them - turned down.
I doubt that Belleville West comes out of this one unscathed.
I hope that they do well and represent the state!Their resume is just as good as anyone else, so it will be interesting to see where the line between men and boys lies.
Can't find a stream though.
Per reps of the tourney when asked about a stream:I hope that they do well and represent the state!
Yeah Mike is gungho on his particular teams. Morgan Park is one of those teams.Sun Times seemed to have crown MP as 3A kings last week ... let's see what Alton and ESL have to say about that.
I'd love to see two SWC teams win titles.

SMH, that's wack. How is that fair?Yes - downstate only gets one rep while CPS can have multiple entries.
Don’t forget SE Springfield is in the south - the best teams may not be at March Madness - some may be home.
lol That's an odd thing to say. lol Vashon produced the great Donny Hathaway and the great Henry Armstrong as well.I HATE Vashon now ... just learned they produced Maxine Waters, the second most ignorant US lawmaker behind Hank Johnson.
Glad they got beat by two SW conference teams in three days.
