Offensive Adjustments

There are several tweaks Leach could make to vastly improve the offense (added run game variation, more deep shots, making a concerted effort to get playmakers like Tulu the ball, etc.)

But number one for me is playing with tempo and a sense of urgency. We busted it out late against LT and against Memphis and the offense flowed much better. We need to play with that urgency for 60 minutes and stress defenses with tempo when we get the chance.

Do you call that **** at the end of the game tempo? We dragged that out a little less than normal. We were still snapping around 15 on the play clock.

Tulu being on the field would be a start. Put him in the backfield and let him be the one taking some of those check downs. Hell just pitch it to him. Marks and Johnson haven’t shown an ability to make anyone miss. We need elusiveness.

This reminds me of Emory Bellard changing from the true wishbone to the wingbone to get Mardye McDole in the backfield. Bellard said, “we may not can throw the ball to him, but we can damn sure hand it off to him.”
