This is one area that has me highly concerned.

2011 Class:
Joey Trapp (gone)
Justin Malone
James Maiden (gone)
Nick Redmond (gone)

2012 Class:
Justin Senior
Charles Siddoway (gone)
Dylan Holley (gone)
Cole Carter
Devon Desper

2013 Class:
Jake Thomas
Jamal Clayborn
Kent Flowers

2014 Class:
2 high school commitments plus 1 JUCO.

I just don't see the depth or the numbers at this position to be able to make it in the SEC. 7 guys left on the roster from your last THREE signing classes is pretty dire if you ask me. And if this cycle holds true, then our last four classes only give you a 2-deep roster with nothing more. That's a pretty lousy job of filling out a roster.

It's really just OT that bothers me. We're fine G-C-G. I don't even want to think about what happens if we have a starting OT go down in 2014. Good thing about the spread though, it takes pressure off the OTs especially with a dual threat taking snaps.

Ben Beckwith, Rufus Warren, Archie Muniz, and Damien Robinson are still on campus, too. That being said, I agree that we have a quality and quantity problem on the OL. With OL being perhaps the hardest position to evaluate, you would think you need to average at least 5 per class.

What was the deal w/ Robinson? I seem to recall AU and OM really losing....

interest in the guy and claiming he wasn't d1 talent despite being a 4star. Didn't AU dump him late? 4* redshirt guy should be able to contribute this year or he might be a bust.

I really wish we had recruiting connections in the midwest for this position group. They produce better o-linemen there.

I agree--5 should be the minimum every year. Pretty distressing that we continue to be thin here.

I think Gus Walley is moving in from TE to OT this Spring. He has the size and frame.

Isn't he like 245? It seems like he'd have a lot of mass to gain.

Look at the 1st rounders from the last several years. There are just as many from low rate, never heard of schools as "big boy" schools. 2013 1st pick for example. OL has to be the hardest position to recruit, so I'm ok with taking shots. Last year we got some solid OT prospects but if they don't pan out we're doomed at tackle. T is really only where I'm worried.

Think you mean Rufus Warren. I thought Walley looked small even for a TE - more like a WR.
